Le Lioran
The super Lioran ski resort is situated a short distance from the motorway at Clermont - Ferrand. This not only affords easy access from the French motorway system, but also allows a travel time from Calais of only 11 hours.

The area is part of the Massif Central mountains where modernisation has not detracted from the natural beauty of the region and which abounds in examples of history dating back to before the 11th Century.

The ski pass covers an area of over 60km of pisted slopes and the cable car ascends to over 1800m giving access to the varied north facing slopes below the Plomb du Cantal. A combination of easy greens and blues are alongside the more testing reds with blacks radiating down to the foot of the mountain. The whole area is supported by snow cannons in the unlikely event that early and late season snow conditions dictate that they be used.

Our accommodation is based at Vic-sur-Cère, a small town on the banks of the River Cère, only fifteen minutes from the ski resort and a mere twenty minutes from Aurillac, the capital of the Central Department. The hotel is family run with all the rooms having full en-suite facilities and a maximum occupancy of 4 to a room.

The location, skiing, accommodation and après ski possibilities make this resort well worth considering.
